Customer Service Survey Results

Periodically, NISS sends out a customer service survey to our member companies to assess ways we can make the reporting process easier for our members and to get feedback on our quality of service. We recently received results from our most recent survey and the responses were overwhelmingly positive. Here are a couple of examples:

NISS is very pleased with the responses from the survey as customer service is our top priority. We will continue to do all we can to make the reporting process as easy and simple as it can be.

Annual Statement Line Changes

As announced in NISS Bulletin 12-2023, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has adopted revisions to Annual Statement reporting effective January 1, 2024. The revisions are as follows:

Pet Insurance is being separated from Inland Marine to accommodate the rapidly growing Pet Insurance Industry and allow more visibility into each participating company’s separate Pet Insurance Financial Information.

Inland Marine (09.0) is being replaced by:

Inland Marine (09.1)
Pet Insurance Plans (09.2)

Additionally, Medical Malpractice and Products Liability were expanded to separate Occurrence and Claims Made Coverages. Medical Malpractice (11.0) is being replaced by:

Medical Professional Liability – Occurrence (11.1)
Medical Professional Liability – Claims Made (11.2)

Products Liability (18.0) is being replaced by:

Products Liability – Occurrence (18.1)
Products Liability – Claims Made (18.2)

NISS will be updating the Annual Statement Lines of Business codes per these changes. Beginning January 1, 2024, these changes apply to all data reported on Statutory Page 14.
